On October 28th 2011 , the first train for Kuming metro line equipped with TEC core products rolled off production line in Zhuzhou. It indicated a millstone and prelude for TEC’s traction system serving for "spring city" Kuming railway transportation.
The relevant leaders attended the inauguration ceremony. They are Zhang Zuling, deputy secretary of municipal party committee of Kuming city, Chen Junwen, secretary of municipal party committee of Zhuzhou city and Zhang Jun, CSR vice present attended the inauguration ceremony.
The first project of Kuming metro line adopted “4 motor cars plus 2 trailer cars”, DC 750V contact rail powered, 100km/h speed of B-type vehicles by total procurement of 40 trains with 240 cars. October 29, 2010, TEC won the bid of the first metro project in Kuming, and obtained the traction system order successfully including AC drive system, train control and diagnostic system and the core vehicle electrical systems.
This first project of Kuming metro line is also the first batch project for localized metro passenger vehicle (B type) in Kuming by adopting self-owned totally independent intellectual property right on technology of 750V、100Km/h. Successful implementation of this project offers positive reference for TEC to develop business in follow-up metro market in Kuming and mass transit market in Southwest China & Southeast Asia.
